The Sticky Dance ist eine interaktive, fesselnde und farbenfrohe Performance-Installation für die Allerkleinsten und ihre Familien. Drei Tänzer*innen bewegen sich durch das Publikum und weben einen Teppich aus Klebeband. Sie laden das Publikum ein zum Kleben, Kleben und Grooven, zum Sehen und Fühlen von Klängen oder zum Stillsitzen, Zuschauen und Zuhören. Das Publikum wird ermutigt, frei zu erkunden und selbst zu entscheiden, wie es sich einbringt, und dabei die Regeln auf den Kopf zu stellen.
The Sticky Dance ist eine Tanzperformance der britischen Company Second Hand Dance. Die Company entwickelt sinnliche Tanzerlebnisse, die für alle zugänglich sind. In ihren Werken verfolgen sie eine Vision einer Welt, in der Tanz, Einfühlungsvermögen, Spiel und forschende Bewegung im Leben von Kindern und Erwachsenen eine zentrale Rolle spielen. Die Company war bereits zweimal beim THINK BIG! Festival zu Gast und kommt im Rahmen des explore dance-Festivals #6 im Mai 2025 erneut nach München.

The Sticky Dance is an interactive, engaging and colourful performance installation for children and their families. Three dancers‘ shimmy through the audience weaving a tapestry of sticky tape in this tactile dance performance for young children. They invite you to tape, stick and groove, to see and feel sound or to be still, watch and listen. Audiences are encouraged to explore freely, choosing how they engage, and turning the rules upside down.
The company develops sensual dance experiences that are accessible to all. In their works, they pursue a vision of a world in which dance, empathy, play and exploratory movement play a central role in the lives of children and adults. The company has already performed twice at the THINK BIG! Festival and will return to Munich in May 2025 as part of the explore dance festival #6.
